From our studio in the creative community of SoNo, Connecticut, we explore the eclectic whims and fancies of the human experience to inspire curious design objects for modern living.
We celebrate the capricious creative mind and aspire to make objects that are unique, timeless and most importantly, add a bit of cheek to your home. Our hope is that each piece adds a little light to your day, both figuratively and literally.
OUR MINDSET
We seek to serve the fickle ebb and flow of personal style with playful objects for the home. They are born as expressive, decorative sculptures and at the end of life, dynamically melt away in the peaceful ritual of a soft flame.
Every candle conceived is brought into the world with loving hands and hearts using earth-honoring materials. We pride ourselves on being a high-tech/lo-tech venture, combining advanced digital technologies with heritage handcraft.

Our mission is to create hand-crafted products from carefully selected materials to be enjoyed aesthetically and functionally. We prioritize working with vendors who share our commitment to community and environment through sustainable practices and responsible sourcing.
A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
As early as I can remember, decision making has been an insurmountable task. In matters large and small, I’d toil and trouble over what path to take, finally choosing one, then promptly pivoting back to the other, and often switching back again. I remember my mother saying “It’s not the last decision you’ll ever make!” She was very right, as always.
I describe fickle fettle as “the state of not quite knowing what state to be in”. For years I considered it my greatest weakness and was so frustrated that my mind wouldn’t let me choose a direction and stay with it. It was always craving something new, something I hadn’t seen before, a new interest I hadn’t tried.
Only after a decade of experience as a design professional did I finally realize what I considered my greatest flaw was, unbeknownst to me, my greatest strength. My fickle nature has sent me on a fantastic voyage of industry experiences in a multitude of different consumer product industries. As it constantly steered me towards ever-changing interests and curiosities, I've learned something new at every turn. I had the privilege of working in accessories with Coach Inc. which opened my eyes to manufacturing and the power of digital prototyping. At Nike, I witnessed the enduring innovation and aspirations of achieving circularity and sustainable design at scale. And at Bark Inc., I learned that while the process may be complex, the endgame can be very simple: bring a bit of joy to the world.
My countless paths and experiences have inspired me to find a way to honor the pursuit of curiosity found in myself and others. For the moment, the beautifully minimalist answer is candles; The dynamic nature of soy wax paired with ethically sourced dye and fragrance are well suited to keep up with the ever changing mind of the capricious creative. While I may be subject to whim and fancy, I can finally say with conviction that in this big, ever-changing world, sometimes all we really need is a little light. It’s the perfect bit of respite for a soul in a fickle fettle.
